Foozhan Kashkooli
Foozhan Kashkooli is a multidisciplinary artist and educator whose practice spans painting, sculpture, photography, and installation. Moving between abstraction and representation, she uses color, light, texture, and layered materials to explore memory, nature, spirituality, and the human experience.
Her evolving practice includes a growing body of sacred imagery and iconographic studies rooted in prayer, reverence, and a search for divine presence. Through luminous color, symbolic form, and contemplative portraiture, she explores the threshold between the visible and the unseen, creating works that invite stillness, reflection, and spiritual encounter. This developing body of work brings the ancient visual language of iconography into dialogue with her contemporary approach to painting and mixed media.
She holds an MFA from Winthrop University and a BA in Fine Art from Queens University of Charlotte, with extensive experience in teaching, curriculum development, and curating exhibitions.
